"We dream in color...but we live in black and white..." (Jefferson Starship)
These words were in a song by Jefferson Starship and it was one of my favorite songs ever - still gives me goosebumps when I hear it. Why? Because each of us dreams beautiful, vivid, technicolor dreams but we are too afraid, uncertain, distracted to live in anything but the gray scale. We were meant to live in color! How can you embrace your passionate, loving, vivid, ebullient self every day?
Poem by Thich Nhat Hanh - Our True Heritage
A little extra quote -
AWAKE
It can be so easy
To fall into a routine.
A predictable, earthly pattern
Without ever giving thought
To who we truly are,
To the essence of our being.
Until one day, amidst the noise,
You feel it, deep within
And then...
Everything clicks.
An ancient wisdom,
A powerful remembering,
Arises from deep with your bones.
Every cell in your body aligns
To allow you to remember
Who you once were,
Who you can be...
And how this shapes
Who you are now.
Arrive, my dear.
You have awakened.
