Gratitude is a muscle - a muscle that needs to be strengthened with continuous exercises. Our minds are keyed to think the worst - this is what has kept us alive for a long time; but, it doesn't have to be the way we see everything each day. Even during difficult and challenging times in our lives, we can be thankful for the small, beautiful, special sparks of things, people and circumstances that are uplifting, positive, and supportive.
In this practice we focus on three main things to feel gratitude for and we remain present for them throughout our practice. Gather your supports, allow yourself to feel held, and soften into the embrace of this practice.
Props: 1-2 blankets (Blanket: https://amzn.to/40vhOXS) or towels, 1-2 throw pillows, 1 bolster (Bolster: https://amzn.to/477vuuC) or a bed pillow or two, 1 block (Block: https://amzn.to/3SAuH0C) or you can use the throw pillows instead, a wall/chair/sofa/bed frame you can use for our final pose.
