In this 60 minute total body deep stretch Yin Yoga practice we are focusing on the Liver, Heart and Spleen meridians. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, these organ systems regulate the movement of blood throughout the body. When the blood slows or gets stuck (as we age, stress, seasonally, long term illness, anger), we develop a variety of symptoms and illness and often feel "slowed down" or exhausted (run down) - resulting in stuck "qi" or blood stagnation. This can also brought on by long term anger, resentment, worry or grief and can deeply affect our health in a number of ways.
This practice aims to bring these organ systems into balance beginning with the feet all the way up to the chest, shoulders and neck - helping you release negative emotions and keep the body's systems in balance (and blood moving freely). Enjoy!
