We begin our exploration of alchemy - the ancient science of transmutation/transformation - with the basic element of water. In ancient yoga philosophy and practice - this is the Sacral Chakra (the lower belly/pelvic bowl) and the place of emotions, creativity, relationships, and flow. In TCM, this is related to the Kidney/Bladder meridians running on the inside of the legs and up into the abdomen and along the entire back length of the body.
We will use the mantra SO HAM (I am) to connect more deeply to the flow and the sound of the waves as well as Ujjayi breath (Ocean Breath) to help us "feel" into the element of water.
