Our hearts, in TCM, are the house of the Shen or spirit and represented by the element of fire. Imagine a flame inside of a temple - what does that flame need to continue burning bright, strong, and steady?
In this practice we focus on the heart and pericardium meridians (upper body arms/shoulders/upper back/chest) to make space, move energy, and "tend" our hearts so they are flowing freely and steady with giving and receiving love and compassion. This is also a great practice for sleep as the heart rules our sleep in TCM!
Props: 1 blanket for comfort if needed and 1 block for your head if you would like to use it to bring the ground closer for comfort.
