Yin Yoga for Deep Hip Tension Release (and emotional clearing)

Our hips are super dense with fascial tissue and when we are stationary or sit for long periods of time - this fascia can tighten up like shrinkwrap - making it hard to move, walk, feel comfortable. Ever risen from a chair and stayed bent over? That's stickiness and tension.
In today's class we are working to open up the entire hip area from the inner to outer with Yin Yoga poses centered on making space and releasing that tension. Do you know what else gets stuck in the hips? Emotional memories. When we work with the hips, we can often feel emotions rising from past experiences, emotions and energy that needs to be processed and released. Working with the hips does both!
