The largest part of your vagus nerve is actually in your lower belly and pelvis - the same area as your psoas muscles! Your psoas reacts to stress by tightening up and this in turn (like a circle) activates your nervous system.
Your vagus nerve is meant to help you shift easily and effortlessly between your fight/flight/freeze and your rest/digest/socialize portions of your nervous system and keeping this nerve healthy and resilient can help you stay healthier.
