For those of us who spend a lot of time sitting - in cars, chairs, travelling - you might have noticed your glutes aren't "firing up". You might feel tightness in the front of your hips, pain in your lower back, numbness in your glutes, and more. This is sometimes referred to as lazy glutes, weak glutes, gluteal amnesia, or dead butt syndrome. In this practice we work with simple poses to bring more awareness to the entirety of our glutes, activate the muscles, and build strength - helping us fire up our glutes in everyday activities to keep this space strong and healthy.
This is a great addition to your weekly exercise routines to build overall strength and awareness in your glutes and also to relieve hip and lower back pain caused by weak glutes.
