Sensory Meditation Week 9

Sensory Meditation Introduction
Our senses tell us so much and for many of us, we cannot completely let go of our sensory experience to meditate. That's okay! In our first week of sensory meditation we will explore our senses and connect to them in a whole new way. Know that this meditation will change your view of how you "see" colors and each of us will interpret this rainbow differently depending on our life experiences and lifestyle.
Meditation Tip of the Week
Do a body/emotional scan during each meditation. You may have wondered why we do this in each of the live meditations. It's a great way to connect with your body and mind, develop a sense of what you are working with, and practice a nonjudgmental attitude.
We arrive at our meditation cushion or yoga mat with the body and mind we have in the moment. Acknowledging where we are is being present and accepting. It's the first step in releasing preconceived notions of how or what we should be for yoga or meditation. Check in, notice what you feel, where you are at, what's going on with you today. Sense it and breathe. At the end of the meditation, take moment to check in again and see what may have changed.
