Mantra Meditation Week 4
13m
For the next several weeks we will be working with mantra meditation. A mantra is a sound, sentence, saying or affirmation that resonates with you - repeated either out loud or silently to your self. You can choose ANY mantra you want in any language. Mantras can be very powerful in helping you set intentions and release unwanted things and it can also be very musical. Repeating a mantra out loud can "feel" unique and can attune your body to a new frequency.
Meditation Tip of the Week
Use a little stretching or yoga practice BEFORE you sit down for meditation.
Originally, yoga poses were meant to help settle and stretch the body to make it easier to meditate for long periods of time. In modern day, we have switched it around believing that yoga poses are for themselves.
The body is tense, tight, and in our modern day living - rarely can sit to meditate without getting cramps, tension, the wiggles. Yoga asanas - the poses - can help you settle into your body, your breath and prepare you for meditation on a much deeper level. Make up your own little stretch session for meditation and incorporate it into your practice (work with those areas you feel are the most tense for you in meditation)
